The plot isn’t the most exciting, and the characters aren’t uniquely interesting, and there are some cliches throughout the book… but for me, what makes these books so fun to read isn’t because of a brilliant writing style, or fascinating plot, but because of how I feel when I read them. I loved diving back into this world and getting to spend some more time with these characters. We get to watch Daemon fall in love with Kat and see the thoughts that run through his head as he struggles with staying in her life or going, and watching the effects of him saving her life time after time instead of seeing it all from Kat’s point of view. Armentrout re-tells Obsidian, the first book in the Lux series, but from Daemon’s perspective. Oblivion dives the reader back into the world of the Lux series, where we first fell in love with Kat and Daemon and Dee and learned about aliens living on earth among humans. ![]()
